Catholic Chapter House: Gather, Learn, Share

My husband, Dave, and I started Catholic Chapter House three years ago. We had sold our house, cashed in our investments and left our careers to answer Pope John Paul’s call to a “New Evangelization”. It was quite a leap of faith, as we did not know what the future would bring. But, with placing our trust in God, He has never failed us.
Here is a short video of our story:

Catholic Chapter House aims to catechize and evangelize Catholics and those interested in the faith through a variety of online and offline projects. We started out as an online store and blog. We have grown to add all-day Catholic events, visiting parishes to offer Catholic material and engaging people on social media.

Our store features books, DVDs, CDs, MP3 and religious items. With most people shopping online now and stores having to close their doors we wanted to be able to offer these essential items of the faith to everyone and anyone. While buying from Amazon is an option for people, we also wanted to provide an alternative to a company that sells questionable items and supports anti-Catholic agendas.

Our Blog features many different voices, including the lovely Sarah and Patricia from here J These voices share their thoughts, experiences and insight on the Catholic faith.

Our events have started out in Toronto, Ontario and we are starting one in New York City this fall. God has opened doors we never would have imagined when we started. The events are organized to nourish the faith and encourage everyone to share the faith with others. Our upcoming event is with Dr. Peter Kreeft, a professor of philosophy at Boston College and at the King's College (Empire State Building), in New York City. He is a regular contributor to several Christian publications, is in wide demand as a speaker at conferences, and is the author of over 67 books including:
    • Back to Virtue
    • The Unaborted Socrates
    • Handbook of Catholic Apologetics
    • How to Win the Culture War
    • Because God Is Real
I invite you to attend the event and share the information with others so they, too, can benefit from the knowledge of Dr. Kreeft and encounters with fellow Catholics. All details can be found here.
We hope to meet you soon, either online or offline!

God Bless,
Theresa Gilbert

What is a woman? What does it mean to be feminine? There is softness and hardness, compassion and ferocity. There is contentment and adventure, freedom and service. We're conundrums, especially to ourselves, but we all, in some way, possess beauty, creativity, intuition and love. We were made for love, and we are loved, cellulite and all. Here we aim to show every woman the richness and beauty of her own femininity and explore current issues relating to women in our world. We also wish to share our own experiences - exploring the joys and challenges of stay-at-home moms and single professionals and everyone in between. Welcome! So glad you're here!
