The Nativity and the Adoration of the Shepherds by Leandro Bassano

Truth shall spring out of the earth

This is the image Benedict XVI chose for his Christmas card this year, with scripture from Psalm 85.

Psalm 85:8-13

Let me hear what God the Lord will speak,
for he will speak peace to his people,
to his saints, to those who turn to him in their hearts.
Surely his salvation is at hand for those who fear him,
that glory may dwell in our land.
10 Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet;
righteousness and peace will kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness will spring up from the ground,
and righteousness will look down from the sky.
12 Yea, the Lord will give what is good,
and our land will yield its increase.
13 Righteousness will go before him,
and make his footsteps a way.

Sarah and Tess wish you all a very happy Christmas. May the Light of Christ you have been fostering through Advent fill your homes with love and joy.  God bless you!

Come, let us adore Him!

  1. I’m just dropping by to let you know I’m presenting you with a ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award. Please stop by my December 29 post at The Breadbox Letters for details. Thank you for the blessing of this fine blog!

  2. Thank you, Nancy! We're very honoured - and humbled.

What is a woman? What does it mean to be feminine? There is softness and hardness, compassion and ferocity. There is contentment and adventure, freedom and service. We're conundrums, especially to ourselves, but we all, in some way, possess beauty, creativity, intuition and love. We were made for love, and we are loved, cellulite and all. Here we aim to show every woman the richness and beauty of her own femininity and explore current issues relating to women in our world. We also wish to share our own experiences - exploring the joys and challenges of stay-at-home moms and single professionals and everyone in between. Welcome! So glad you're here!
